Distinctive characteristics of this form:

 This form was probably issued on 31 January 1938. An announcement in the Advertiser of 2 February noted:

"A sesquicentenary celebrations souvenir telegram form and envelope have been issued by the Postal Department. The form will be available until April 25. It is printed in ornamental colors. On one side is depicted the sailing ship H.M.S. Sirius. which carried Australia's earliest pioneers, and on the other side a modem "floating palace" at anchor in Sydney Cove".
